Since 1977 AD the route of Annapurna circuit trek was established for tourist. These routes have been highly praised by the trekkers. The main reason is the presence of much golden dawn mountain ranges from a very short distance. Leaving this you fall in dilemma with the amazing crops vegetation grown in the Annapurna region. This route is also called classical route.
With a dive to Besisahar our Annapurna circuit trek begins. The driving phenomenal goes around 5 to 6 hours. Arriving here we follow the Marsyangdi River trail and head up to Manang valley. This route leads us to Syange, Chamje, Dharapani, Chame, Pisang and finally to Manang. Crossing Thorong la pass from managing we resume our trek to next path of Annapurna region i.e. Ghorepani area. Here we have the opportunity to explore the culture, tradition, and lifestyle of local Gurung, Magar and Thakalis community people. They are the main inhabitant of this area.

Details Itinerary
Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival and Check-in to the Hotel
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representatives from Everest Trekking Routes will welcome you. He/she will asset you and transfer you to the hotel for your overnight.
Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour
Today, you will do a day tour in Kathmandu valley. In morning time you will visit Pashupatinath (oldest and holy Hindu temple), Bauddhanath (Buddhist temple is known as little Tibet), and Swayambhunath (monkey temple). Finishing this we return for lunch. After lunch, you will visit Kathmandu durbar square and Patan Durbar square. In Kathmandu durbar square you will visit Kumari temple (temple of the living goddess).
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu Besishahar (830m) – 7 Hours
After talking breakfast, we start our Annapurna Circuit Trek and drive to Besishahar. It's a distance of 185 kilometers. In an around 7 to 8 hours we reach Besisahar. In our drive, the scenic countryside view impresses us so much. Besishahar is headquartered of lamjung district. We can Rome around the valley in our remaining time.
Day 04: Trek from Besishahar to Bahundanda (1310m) – 5 Hours
We start our real trek from Besishahar. Following the trial of Khudi, we climb forward. During our walk, we observe first glimpses of Himalchuli and Peak 29. Viewing this we climb Bhulbhule and pass through Lampata. In this way, we eventually reach Bahundanda (wonderful cultural side of Nepal) for our night.
Day 05: Trek from Bahundanda to Chamje (1400m) – 5 Hours
From Bahundanda, we resume our journey and drops steeply to Syange. We are self will be the beauty of the amazing waterfall. We follow the river to the stone village of Jagat after crossing the suspension bridge over Marsyangdi River. Then we follow the trial and climb the forests to Chamje for our night.
Day 06: Trek from Chamje to Bagarchhap (2160m) – 5 Hours
Today’s our day begins with a rocky trail. We follow the path of Marsyangdi River steadily uphill to Tal (a first village in the Manang District). We cross the wide and flat valley and continue our trail to Dharapani (1890 m). in this way we reach Bagarchhap. We can be a witness of typical flat-roofed stone houses of local Tibetans and the area is fully surrounded by apple Orchards and maize fields.
Day 07: Trek from Bagarchhap to Chame (2630m) – 5 Hours
In our today’s walk, we climb to Tanja through the forest. Reaching on Chame (headquarter of Manang District), we will be rewarded with fine views of Annapurna II. We also visit two small hot springs by the town. We are introduced to the local community, the residents who have migrated from Tibet centuries ago.
Day 08: Trek from Chame to Pisang (3300m) – 5 Hours
At first, we cross a long bridge over the river and start our walk through a deep forest in a narrow and steep valley. Till the next bridge arrives, we are self will be a witness of the beautiful rock faces of soaring Paungda Danda. With a sweet memory, we join to the path of Pisang for our overnight settlement.
Day 09: Trek from Pisang to Manang (3540m) – 5 Hours
We continue our trek through the upper part of the Manang District. In this region, people herd yaks and raise crops. From Pisang, we get two alternative trails in north and south of Marsyangdi River. We continue our trial from Mungji (picturesque but partially hidden valley of Bryanga). It’s just nearby Manang.
Day 10: Acclimatization at Manang
Walking continuously for a long day it’s time to take rest. We spend our whole day with some fine day walks. We can enjoy the magnificent sights of the village. We also explore the absolutely gorgeous Manang Valley. We can learn about their lifestyle. Finishing this we again return back to our place for our night.
Day 11: Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka (4000m) – 5 Hours
Having a good rest we continue our walk to Yak Kharka. Our trail ascends nearly 500m to Yak Kharka. We climb steadily up Tenki Manang and leave Marsyangdi Valley and continue our walk to Jarsang Khola valley. In this way, we finally reach Yak Kharka (4000 m) for our night. Here we can see vegetation thinning out and herds of yaks.
Day 12: Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4450m) – Hours
From Yak Kharka, we walk for about two hours. Resting some time we descend down and cross the river. Then we climb to Thorong Phedi. It may be difficult for us. Reaching here we can see some decent guesthouses to spend our night.
Day 13: Trek from Thorong Phedi to Muktinath (3800m) via Thorong La Pass (5416m) – 8 Hours
Today is a bit important day. We need to walk a long distance as we need to cross Thorong la pass. We start our walk a bit earlier as weather conditions that might greatly affect our journey to Thorung La pass (5416 m). We climb steeply on a regular route. We need to take maximum care to get relief from terrible problems to cross the pass covered with heavy snow. In four hours we climb up to the pass. From here we walk around four hours to reach the holy temple Muktinath (one of the holiest pilgrimages site for both Buddhists and Hindus). We can be a witness of 108 water sprouts, gorgeous natural spring and eternal flame fueled by natural gas.
Day 14: Trek from Muktinath to Marpha (2670m) – 6 Hours
Leave Muktinath we continue our trek to Marpha (home to the legendary apple orchids and apple capital of Nepal). We follow the trial through Kaligandaki Valley. In this area, Apple Brandy is a local specialty. If we are lucky enough we can taste this in our way. Like this, we reach Marpha for our night.
Day 15: Trek from Marpha to Ghasa (2010m) – 6 Hours
From Marpha our next destination is Ghasa. We descend down an easy path. We follow through the Kali Gandaki River until we reach Ghasa. Here we will spend our night.
Day 16: Trek from Ghasa to Tatopani (1190m) – 5 Hours
Our today’s walk goes through the Kopchepani (deepest gorge of the world). Then we continue descending down through Kali Gandaki River Valley and reach Tatopani. In Tatopani, we enjoy bathing in natural hot springs. This is the perfect place to relax our self after walking continuously of a long day.
Day 17: Rest at Tatopani
We will be quite tired as our trek is going to finish. So for rest, we take this additional day at Tatopani.
Day 18: Trek from Tatopani to Ghorepani (2810m) – 7 Hours
From Tatopani, we walk upward to Ghorepani. This is a large village of Magar and Gurung community people. We climb about 1650 meters up. Resting for some time we resume our walk to Ghorepani (2840 m) for our night.
Day 19: Hike to Poon Hill (3210m) and trek to Tikhedhunga (1570m) – 5 Hours
In the early morning, we start our hike to Poon Hill (3210 m). It is the best viewpoint in the Annapurna Region. We are offered with a phenomenal panorama of the beautiful peaks. Annapurna and Dhaulagiri are included. Poon Hill is regarded as the Photographer’s paradise. Spending a few moments we return back to Ghorepani. Having breakfast we continue our trek. We climb ridges through the forest of pines and rhododendron. This will bring us to Ulleri (2070 m). From here we eventually trek down to Tikhedhunga for our night.
Day 20: Trek from Tikhedhunga to Nayapul (1010m) – 3 Hours and Drive to Pokhara – 1 Hour
It takes only 2 to 3 hours to reach Nayapul from Tikhedhunga. It will be easy in walking as we need to walk only downhill. Upon reaching Nayapul, our vehicle will be waiting for us. Finally, we will drive back to Pokhara for our night.
Day 21: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu
Completing our trek now we drive back to Kathmandu. It takes about 7 to 8 hours. You can also take a flight to Kathmandu. It will just take about 30 minutes. Reaching on Kathmandu, you can do last minute shopping in Kathmandu. At night we celebrate Farewell Dinner together with the trekking team.
Day 22: Final Departure
Now it’s time to say goodbye to the Kathmandu. Your journey in Nepal comes to an end today. You are transferred to the airport for your returning flight. Have a safe journey. Hope you will return back to Nepal again.Everest Trekking Routes
